Life is too much. . .

 This is the theme of todays card. . .actually, bear with me, I'm really craving a tropical holiday and I'm livin' vicariously through my cards right now, and it's pretty much the theme of the week - water - and not the white fluffy kind either!  (hehehe) 

I went back into the Mojo Monday Blog 2011 Sketches and printed off a catalogue of ideas to get my creative mojo going and for today's layout I'm using MOJO 193 from May 2011:

This is a round or square option and I opted for the round one in my card:

Chasing the Clouds Away. . . .errr. . .snow away?

Ok, I'm not too sure if I'm having a case of the winter blahs but I'm definately feelin' like it's time for some sun and sand in a hot and tropical location.  Today's card totally depicts this warm and sunny feelin' and basically I made this card for my husband - 'cause it's depicts two of his favorite things a Turtle and the Ocean! 

I stopped over to Kraftin Kimmie Stamps web page after I bought one of her stamps to see some examples from their gallery of how they used a cute little stamp I bought last week.  While visiting her web site, I found her blog. . . and you guessed it another CHALLENGE!  Yipee!!!

So here's the details of Kraftin' Kimmie's New Years Challenge:

For their challenges, they have one of their card creating gurus hostess and this week is one of their newest Krafty Girls, Sharon!!! The challenge she has set before us is all about SHAPES!! She has called it TIME TO SHAPE UP!  So the rules are simple.....be sure to include at least THREE different shapes on your card and yes, the card base can count as one shape. Over at Kraftin' Kimmies they LOVE to see your creations and hope that you can join them for this week's challenge and link it up on their blog site for them to check out! A Kiss is Just a KISS

Ok. . . it's almost that time so I figured I'd better do some Valentines Day cards. . . over at Splitcoast Stampers I found the Viva la Verve Friday Challenge for January.

Here's the details of the Challenge:  Every Friday, a Diva will post a sketch for your enjoyment. Your cards, using the sketches, must be uploaded by the last Thursday of the month (check their Viva la Verve Challenge at Split Coast Stampers for the due date!) The winner will be announced on the next day and will win a $100 gift certificate to VERVE! How awesome is that?! Just a reminder, Verve stamps are NOT required but they love to see you use them. Feel free to flip, rotate, resize, or otherwise alter the sketch as long as we can tell you USED the sketch!

Welcome 2012!

Happy New Year!  2012 is here and I'm excited to enter the new year with some  personal challenges and goals!  2011 ended in a blur and I have to appologize for my lack of new posts. . . however moving forward I'm excited to share some of my personal challenges for the beginning of 2012! 


Firstly, I'm going to continue my goal of attempting to complete the mojo challenge on a weekly basis much to my chagrin. . . the dinning room table is never going to get cleared off of it's paper supplies.  LOL!  Obvoiusly this will not be a resolution I can even consider at this point!   However, in attempt to reach outside of my comfort zone I am going to attempt meet one of my personal goals by doing cards with a masculine "theme", for birthdays, and significant other dates!  

To get into the groove of my first personal challenge, I am going to be using Mr. Fix it from Totally Stampalicious with this weeks  Mojo222  challenge.
