Card 2 in a set of 4. . . .

Yesterday I posted the first in this series of 4 cards I made a couple of weeks ago.  Today, I am posting my personal favorite in this set.   What I really liked was using a cut out image in the background in a "very" non-traditional method!  I think this has become one of my fav things to do now with my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge! 
Anyhow. . .here's the sketch:

Card 1 in a set of 4!

Ever get stumped. . . as I often do. . . on what to do for cards?  I found this great set of papers I bought last JANUARY, I bought it at the time not only 'cause I really liked it, but it was "different" - so non-traditional winter papers!  Anyways, I used the Verve Challenges for the Month of November to create four cards with all the same papers and stamp set!   This was my personal challenge. . . sometimes I get distracted by all the "papers" I have hoarded away and have a hard time sitting down and picking what to do. . . anyways here's the original sketch:

Christmas Cards. . .

Okay, I have to say I'm finding I not only have a stash of Christmas Papers I've completely forgotten about. . . but some of my cards I'm completely forgetting about as well.  However, I've found a stash of cards and thought I'd share them with you! 

This first card features a stamp from Stampin' Bella and I've co-ordinated it by coloring with Copic markers. 

This second card is featuring some wonderful papers which were released by Bo-Bunny last year!  LOVE THEM!!!  Again the stamp is one from Stamping Bella and colored with Copic markers to co-ordinate with the papers! 







These cards are very simple layouts. . . and oh so easy to put together!

Lost my Mojo. . . .

Okay, I'm a little behind in posting my MOJO layouts. . . figured I'd better get some more posted ;) This was the last week for the month of November, and over at MOJO they like to mix things up and focus on non-traitional sized cards, so the option was for a round or square card. 

Since the majority of my cards are square, I figured I'd try making a round Card!  Here's my take on the layout:

Can I say I LOVE my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!!!  Yipeee. . . it made this card so simple!  The actual shape is the scalloped circle at 5 3/4", the green scalloped circle is 5 1/2", the red circle is 5 1/4" and the B&T papers were two circles cut at 5", the circles were then stacked on my cutter and I cut 1/4 of the circle.   Added some ribbon, cut the snowflake again from my Cricut Cartridge, the image is stamped on a tag from the Cartridge and framed with the same image.   

B and T papers:  CTMH (Christmas papers from last year - discontinued)
Cardstock:  CTMH New Englad Ivy, Cranberry, & Colonial White
Stamps:  Stampalicious

"Caught-Up" in the Festivities and Cards!

Ok. . . I realize I have been posting a whole lotta cards on the blog - at least between Amber and I we've put quiet a few in the past couple of weeks and the "focus" is supposed to be on scrapbooking and cardmaking. . . . oops we've kinda forgot about the scrapbooking portion on the blog!  My BADDDDD!  It's so much fun makin' all those Christmas Cards and the Challenges. . .OMG they go on forever - if you try to do them all.  Can you say stimulation overload! 

So on Wednesday, I sat down and got out some true 12X12 Cardstock to work on some layouts for a function I'm doing this weekend with our local Stampede Royalty.  Who woulda thought in the middle of the Cariboo we'd have ROYALTY - but we do!  I was asked by one of the Board of Directors from the Williams Lake Stampede Association to work with this past years Queen and princess(es) to help them capture some of the highlights from the 2011 reign.  I was supplied a wide variety of pictures from MANY of the events they attended this year, and again was on stimulation overload and thought "if I create it. . . they will follow" . . .  










Here's the final product and the black cardstock frames the girls pictures, which can easily slide in amongst the embelishments!

I know sound courney, but essentially that is what I anticipate them doing and the end result will be their own pictures as they choose....  a simple way of coming to a resolution to my own problem!

Graphicat's Snowman Stamp Set

Apparently. .  . both Amber and I are featuring some of Graphicat's stamps/sketches from this weekends personal projects!  I have utilzed one of Cheri's stamp sets:

My creative-sarcastic side just about screamed out loud when I saw this set.   LOVE IT!!!  Oh. . . the cards I'll be making with these cute little sayings!  hehehe!

I found a simple sketch from Split Coast Stampers (sketch challenge 359):

I came up with this design (rotated the sketch 180degrees) :

Using CTMH Believe  paper pack I matched up my snowman by coloring it in with Copic Markers and added some bling by using CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge to make the snowflakes in CTMH Daisy White and again in CTMH Sky Blue, using my Xyron sticker maker I added adhesive to the snowflakes and finished them off with some CTMH Prism Glitter and a blue gem.  Added some swirls of red and green gems by My Minds Eye throughut the card and finished it off by announcing the title with a CTMH Pin Clip

Christmas is in the air . . . . continued!
